The LM5015 High Voltage Switch-Mode Regulator functions all the necessary functions to enable efficient high-voltage switching and dual-switch flyback regulators using minimal external components. This easy-to-use regulator integrates high-side and low-side 75-volt N-channel MOSFETs with a peak current limit of 1 amp minimum. The clamping voltage of the MOSFET across the two switching topologies is the input voltage, and the allowable input voltage range is close to the MOSFET rating. The regulator control method provides current-mode control loop compensation and superior intrinsic mitigation of input transient suppression line voltage feed-forward.

The operating frequency is set to a resistor and programmable up to 750 kHz. The oscillator can also be synchronized to an external clock. Other protection features include cycle-by-cycle current limit, thermal shutdown, undervoltage lockout, and remote shutdown. The device is available in a TSSOP-14EP package with an exposed chip attachment board for enhanced heat dissipation.
