The LM98722 is a fully integrated, high-performance 16-bit, 45 MSPS signal digital color copier, scanner and other processing solution for image processing applications. The throughput of high-speed signals reaches the architecture employed by innovative utilization of correlated double sampling (CDS), typically with CCD arrays, or sample-hold (S/H) inputs (for higher-speed CCD or CMOS image sensors). The signal path utilizes an 8-bit programmable gain amplifier (PGA), an A+/- 9-bit offset-corrected DAC, and independently controlled digital black level correction for each input cycle. Independent programming in the PGA and offset DAC allows for unique value and three analog inputs, each canceled out. These signals are then transmitted to a 45MHZ high-performance analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The fully differential processing channel shows special immunity to interference, with a -74 dB very low noise layer. The 16-bit ADC has excellent dynamic performance that LM98722 transparency in the image reproduction chain.

A very flexible integrated spread spectrum clock generator (SSCG) modulator includes assistance with EM compliance and reduced system costs.
