The LM5034 dual-current-mode PWM controller controls all the functions required for two independent infeed/active clamping DC/DC converters or one high-current converter by two staggered power stages. The two controller channels operate a 180° phase, which reduces the input ripple current. The LM5034 includes a gate driver that starts the regulator operating over a wide input range of up to 100V and composite (bipolar CMOS), providing a robust 2.5A peak absorb current. Active clamping gate driver and adjustable PWM maximum duty cycle adjustable dead time reduce stress on the primary side MOSFET switch. Other features include programmable line undervoltage lockout, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, hiccup mode restart delay adjustable, PWM slope compensation, soft start, and 2 MHz synchronization capability to enable oscillator failure operation.
