The LM5070 power interface port and pulse width modulation (PWM) controller provide a complete integrated solution (PD) for power delivery devices connected to Power over Ethernet (PoE) systems. The LM5070 integrates an 80V, 400mA wire connection switch with a fully IEEE 802.3af-compliant interface and a full-featured current-mode pulse-width modulator DC-DC converter-related control. The interface between all power sequencing controllers and the requirement for switch-mode power supplies (SMPS) are integrated into the IC. Two options are available, providing 80% maximum duty cycle with slope compensation (-80 suffix) device or 50% maximum duty cycle limit and no slope compensation (-50 suffix) device limit.
