The LM5073 Power Supply Device (PD) interface provides a high-performance solution for powering PDs to Power over Ethernet (PoE) networks, which are fully compliant with IEEE 802.3af standards. The flexibility offered by the LM5073 also accepts power from unregulated auxiliary sources such as AC adapters and solar cells in various configurations for PD. The low-R DS(ON) PD interface hot-swappable MOSFET and programmable DC current limit extend the LM5073 application range to twice the power levels of IEEE 802.3af compliant devices. Up to 100V, rated voltage simplified transient voltage suppressor, from the network to the choice of transient protection PD. Provides a control output for a stand-alone DC-DC converter, allowing freedom to select the optimal DC-DC converter for the specific application's topology.
