The LM5115A controller contains all the necessary functions to generate multiple tracking outputs using the Postal Regulation (SSPR) technology on the secondary side. SSPR technology develops efficient and well-regulated auxiliary output waveforms for a power converter isolated from the secondary side. The LM5115A can also be used as a stand-alone DC/DC synchronous buck controller ( See Synchronizing buck sections ）。 The auxiliary output voltage is regulated through pulse-width modulation (PWM) of the leading-edge main channel duty cycle. Leading edge modulation is compatible with either current mode or voltage mode control of the main output. The high-side and low-side external NMOS power switches of the LM5115A driver are configured as synchronous buck regulators. The current-sense amplifier provides overload protection over a wide common-mode input range. Other features include a low dropout (LDO) regulator, bias regulator, error amplifier, high-precision reference, gate signal for adaptive dead-time control, and thermal shutdown.
