The LM5574 CHIP IS AN EASY-TO-USE SIMPLE SWITCHER ® BUCK REGULATOR THAT ENABLES DESIGN ENGINEERS TO DESIGN AND OPTIMIZE A RELIABLE POWER SUPPLY WITH MINIMAL COMPONENTS. Operating from an input voltage range of 6 to 75V, the LM5574 chip delivers 0.5A of continuous output current with integrated 750mΩn-channel MOSFETs. The regulator's current-mode architecture provides the low duty cycle of current-free regulators, typically limited by inherent line gauge, tight load transient response, and easy loop compensation. The operating frequency is adjustable from 50kHz to 500kHz, allowing optimization of scale and efficiency. To reduce electromagnetic interference, the frequency sync pin allows LM(2)557x families of multiple ICs to be automatically synchronized or synchronized to an external clock. The LM5574 chip ensures robustness with cycle-by-cycle current limit, short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown, and remote shutdown. The device is available in a TSSOP - 16 package. The LM5574 chip is supported by a full suite of WEBENCH online design tools.
