The LM5575 is an easy-to-use SIMPLE SWITCHER ® buck regulator that enables design engineers to design and optimize a reliable power supply with minimal components. Operating from an input voltage range of 6 - 75V, the LM5575 provides a continuous output current of 1.5A with an integrated 330mΩN channel MOSFET. The regulator uses a current-mode architecture that provides the low duty cycle of a no-current mode regulator that typically limits the inherent line gauge, tight load transient response, and easy loop compensation. The operating frequency is adjustable, from 50kHz to 500kHz, allowing for optimization of scale and efficiency. To reduce electromagnetic interference, the frequency synchronization pin allows the LM(2)557x family of multiple ICs to automatically synchronize operation or synchronize to an external clock. The LM5575 guarantees robustness with cycle-by-cycle current limiting, short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown, and remote shutdown. Available in an enhanced TSSOP-16 package with an exposed chip-bonded thermal pad in the power device. The LM5575 is a full suite of WEBENCH online design tools support.
