The LM5575 is an easy-to-use SIMPLE SWITCHER ® buck regulator that allows design engineers to design and optimize a powerful power supply with a minimal set of components. With 6 input voltage ranges – 75V, the LM5575 offers a continuous output with an integrated 330mΩN channel MOSFET current of 1.5A. The regulator features an analog current-mode architecture that provides the inherent line gauge without the low duty cycle limitations associated with current-mode regulators, accurate load transient response, and loop-compensated mitigation. The operating frequency is adjustable from 50kHz to 500kHz, allowing for optimization of size and efficiency. To reduce electromagnetic interference, the frequency sync pin allows self-synchronization or synchronization from multiple ICs of the LM(2)557x series to an external clock. The robustness of the LM5575 is guaranteed with cycle-by-cycle current limiting, short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown, and remote shutdown. The device is available in an enhanced TSSOP-16 package with exposed chip-bonded thermal pads in the power supply. The LM5575 is a complete suite of supported WEBENCH online design tools.
