The LM60 is a precision integrated circuit temperature sensor that senses a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C while being powered from a single +2.7 V supply. The output voltage of this LM60 is proportional to the temperature in Celsius (°C) (6.25 mvolts/°C) and has a DC offset of 424 mV. The offset allows reads without the need for negative power supply negative temperatures. The LM60 ranges from 174 mV to 1205 mV for a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C with a rated output voltage. The LM60 calibration provides accuracy of ± 2.0°C at room temperature and ± 3°C over the entire -25°C to +125°C temperature range.

The LM60's linear output, 424 mV offset and factory calibration simplify the reading of external circuitry in a single-supply environment with negative temperature requirements. Since the quiescent current of the LM60 is less than 110μA, self-heating is limited, at a very low 0.1°C, still in the SOT-23 package air. The ability to shut down for the LM60 is intrinsic because its inherently low power consumption allows it to power many logic gate direct outputs.
