The LM61 is a precision integrated circuit temperature sensor that can sense a temperature range from -30°C to +100°C, powered by a single +2.7 V power supply. The LM61's output voltage is proportional to the Celsius (°C) temperature (+10 mV/°C) and a DC offset of 600 mV. The offset allows reads without the need for negative power supply negative temperatures. The LM61 ranges from +300 mV to 1600 mV with a temperature range of -30 °C to +100 °C and mV rated output voltage. The LM61 calibration provides accuracy of ± 2.0 °C at room temperature and ± 3 °C, spanning the entire temperature range from -25 °C to +85 °C.

The LM61's linear output, +600 mV offset and factory calibration simplify the reading of external circuits in single-power environments that require negative temperature requirements. Because the LM61's quiescent current is less than 125μA, self-heating is limited to a very low 0.2°C static air. The LM61's power-off capability is inherent, as its inherent low power consumption allows it to power many logic gates directly output.
