The LM320L/LM79LXXAC dual-mark series three-terminal negative voltage regulator is equipped with a fixed output voltage of 5V, -12V, -15V and an output current capability of 100mA redundancy. These devices are designed using the latest computer technology to optimize the thermal/electrical performance of packaged ICs. The LM79LXXAC series, even with minimal output compensation capacitance, 0.1μF bonding, exhibits an excellent transient response, a maximum line gauge of 0.07% V O/V, and a maximum load regulation of 0.01% V O/mA.
The LM320L/LM79LXXAC series also includes, self-protection circuitry: power dissipation limit for output transistors in safe working area circuits, peak output current limits, and temperature-independent short-circuit current limits for thermal shutdown circuits to prevent excessive junction temperatures. Although primarily designed as fixed voltage regulators, these devices can be combined with a simple increase and/or adjustable voltage and current external circuitry. LM79LXXAC series is available in 3-pin TO-92 packages, 8-pin SOIC packages, and 6-bumper micro SMD packages. The LM320L series is available in a 3-pin TO-92 package.
The LM137L series offers an output voltage range from 1.2V to 47V in output voltage ratios of -5V, -12V and -15V.
