The LM320L/LM79LXXAC Dual Label Series 3-Terminal Negative Voltage Regulators feature fixed output voltages of 5V, -12V, and -15V output current capability of 100mA. These devices are designed using the latest computer technology to optimize the thermal/electrical performance of packaged ICs. The LM79LXXAC series, even with minimal output compensation capacitance, combined with 0.1μF, exhibits an excellent transient response of 0.07% V/V maximum profile and 0.01% V O/Horse maximum load regulation.
The LM320L/LM79LXXAC series also includes self-protection circuits: power dissipation limit for output transistors in safe operating area circuits, peak output current limit, and temperature-independent short-circuit current limit for thermal shutdown circuits to prevent excessive junction temperature. Although primarily designed as fixed voltage regulators, these devices can be combined with simple external circuitry to boost and/or adjust voltage and current. The LM79LXXAC series is available in a 3-pin TO-92 package, an 8-pin SOIC package, and a 6-pin solder ball micro SMD package. LM320L Series 3-Pin TO-92 package.
The LM137L series offers output voltage ratios of -5V, -12V and -15V, providing an output voltage range from 1.2V to 47V.
