illustrate
The LM809/810 microprocessor monitoring circuit can be used to monitor the power supply of microprocessors and digital systems. They provide a reset microprocessor during power-up, power-down and undervoltage conditions.
The LM809/810's function is to monitor the VC supply voltage and assert that the reset signal drops below the factory-programmed reset threshold voltage. The reset signal is still valid within 240ms, as V CC rises above the threshold. The LM809# outputs an active-low reset, while the LM810 outputs a high-active-reset output.
Seven standard reset voltage options are available for monitoring 5V, 3.3V and 3V supply voltages.
With a low supply current of only 15μA, the LM809/810 is ideal for use in portable equipment. The LM809/LM810 are available in 3-pin SOT23 and 6-pin LLP packages.
