illustrate
The LM809/810 microprocessor monitoring circuit can be used to monitor the power supply of microprocessors and digital systems. They provide a reset microprocessor in power-up, power-down, and undervoltage conditions.
The LM809/810 functions by monitoring the V CC supply voltage and asserting that the voltage drops below the factory-programmed reset threshold when the reset signal is signaled. The reset signal is still valid within 240ms, and the increase in V CC above the threshold. The LM809# outputs a low-effective reset, while the LM810 has a high-effective reset output.
Seven standard reset voltage options are available for monitoring 5V, 3.3V, and 3V supply voltages.
With a low supply current of only 15μA, the LM809/810 is ideal for use in portable devices. The LM809/LM810 are available in a 3-pin SOT23 package and a 6-pin LLP package.
