illustrate
The LM95245 is an 11-bit 2-wire System Management Bus (SMBus) interface with TruTherm technology that monitors the temperature of the remote diode as well as its own temperature digital temperature sensor. The LM95245 can be used to monitor the temperature of external devices such as microprocessors with great accuracy. TruTherm technology allows LM95245 to accurately monitor process discovery thermal diodes at 90 nm and smaller sizes. The LM95245 is specifically aimed at Intel processors in the 45nm process. LM95245 reports in two different formats in the 127.875 temperature °C/-128°C range and 0°C/255°C range. LM95245 and ^^ T_CRIT OS outputs assert or shield channels beyond their set limits and can be used to shut down the system, turn on the system fan, or act as an interrupt function for the microcontroller. The ^^T_CRIT and the current state of the OS pins can be read back from the state via the SMBus interface registers. All restrictions have a common programmable hysteresis register.
Both LM95245 remote temperature channels have programmable digital filters. While LM95245 is for a typical Intel ® processor's 45nm, 65nm, or 90nm process with maximum flexibility and optimal accuracy offset registers.
The LM95245 has three levels of address pins connected to 3 devices to the same SMBus master and is shared with ^OS output. The LM95245 features programmable slew rate registers and a standby mode to save power. A transition can be triggered in the standby state by writing a one-time registration.
