illustrate
The LM95245 is an 11-bit, 2-wire System Management Bus (SMBus) interface and TruTherm technology that monitors the temperature of a remote diode as well as its own digital temperature sensor. The LM95245 can be used to monitor the temperature of external devices such as microprocessors very accurately. TruTherm technology allows the LM95245 to accurately monitor the discovery of thermal diodes in 90nm and smaller size processes. The LM95245 is specifically aimed at Intel processors in the 45nm process. The LM95245 reports two different formats: 127.875°C/-128°C range and 0°C/255°C range. The LM95245 and ^^^T_CRIT OS output assertions or shielded channels exceed their set limits and can be used to shut down the system, turn on the system fans, or act as interrupt functions for microcontrollers. The current state of the ^^T_CRIT and OS pins can be read back from the status registers via the SMBus interface. All limits have a common programmable hysteresis register.
The LM95245 remote temperature channel has a programmable digital filter. The LM95245 is aimed at a typical Intel ® processor for 45nm, 65nm, or 90nm processes and has the greatest flexibility and best precision offset registers.
The LM95245 has three levels of address pins connected to 3 devices to the same SMBus master, which is shared with ^OS outputs. The LM95245 has programmable slew rate registers and standby modes to save power. You can trigger a transition in standby by writing a one-time registration.
