The LM98714 is a fully integrated, high-performance 16-bit, 45 MSPS signal digital color copier, scanner and other processing solution for image processing applications. The throughput of high-speed signals reaches an architecture that utilizes innovative use of correlated double sampling (CDS), typically with CCD arrays, or sample-hold (S/H) inputs (contact image sensors and CMOS image sensors). The signal path utilizes an 8-bit programmable gain amplifier (PGA), an A+/- 9-bit offset-corrected DAC, and independently controlled digital black level correction for each input cycle. Independent programming in the PGA and offset DAC allows for unique value and three inputs, each offset. These signals are then transmitted to a 45MHZ high-performance analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The fully differential processing channel shows special immunity to interference, with a -74 dB very low noise layer. The 16-bit ADC has excellent dynamic performance, resulting in LM98714 transparent propagation chains in the image.
