The LM98714 is a fully integrated, high-performance 16-bit, 45 MSPS signal digital color copier, scanner and other processing solution for image processing applications. The throughput of high-speed signals reaches innovative architectures that utilize correlated double sampling (CDS), typically with CCD arrays, or sample-and-hold (S/H) inputs (contact image sensors and CMOS image sensors). The signal path utilizes an 8-bit programmable gain amplifier (PGA), A+/- 9-bit offset correction DAC, and independently controlled digital black level correction for each input cycle. Independent programming of the PGA and offset DAC allows for unique value and three inputs, each canceled off. THESE SIGNALS ARE THEN TRANSMITTED TO A 45MHZ HIGH PERFORMANCE ANALOG-TO-DIGITAL CONVERTER (ADC). The fully differential processing channel shows special immunity to interference with a very low noise layer of -74 dB. The 16-bit ADC has excellent dynamic performance, making the LM98714 reproductive chain transparent in the image.
