LM98725 is a fully integrated, high-performance 16-bit, 81 MSPS signal processing solution for digital color copiers, scanners, and other image processing applications. High-speed signal throughput is achieved by utilizing correlated dual sampling (CDS), which is typically employed with a CCD array, or a sample-hold (S/H) input (for higher-speed CCD or CMOS image sensors). The signal path uses an 8-bit programmable gain amplifier (PGA), an A+/- 9-bit offset-corrected DAC, and an independently controlled digital black-level correction loop for each input. PGA and Dystrac DACs have the unique value of independently programming gain and allow for each of the three analog input offsets. signal is then transmitted to an 81MHz high-performance analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The fully differential processing channel, which shows excellent noise immunity, has a very low noise floor of 74 dB. The 16-bit ADC has excellent dynamic performance and is transparent LM98725 the image reproduction chain.
