The LMC555 is a CMOS version of the industry standard 555 series general-purpose timers. In addition to standard packages (SOIC and MSOP and MDIP), the LMC555 is also available in a chip size package (8 solder ball micro SMD) using national micro SMD packaging technology. The LMC555 offers the LM555 to produce precise time delays and frequencies of the same function, but with much lower power consumption and supply current spikes. When operating as a lever, the delay time is precisely controlled by an external resistor and capacitor. The oscillation frequency and duty cycle in steady mode precisely set two external resistors and one capacitor.
