illustrate
The LMH0394 3 Gbps HD/SD SDI low-power adaptive cable equalizer extends care and is designed to balance data transmitted over a cable (or any media with similar dispersion loss characteristics). The equalizer operates at a wide range of data rates from 125 Mbps to 2.97 Gbps and supports SMPTE 424M, SMPTE 292M, SMPTE 344M, SMPTE 259M and DVB-ASI standards.
The LMH0394 provides improved crosstalk immunity and ultra-low power extension cable reach. The equalizer includes an active sensing circuit that ensures reliable performance and boosts immunity, emitting amplitude changes in the input signal. The output driver provides up to 40 FR4 trace loss" programmable de-emphasis. The LMH0394 includes power management, which further reduces power consumption when no input signal is present.
The LMH0394 supports two modes of operation. In pin mode, the LMH0394 operates at the control pin to set its operating state, and its footprint is compatible with the LMH0384, LMH0344, and traditional SDI equalizers. In SPI mode, an optional SPI serial interface can be used to access and configure multiple LMH0394 devices in a daisy-chain configuration. This allows programming the output common-mode voltage and wobble, output de-emphasis level, input transmit amplitude and power management settings, as well as obtaining cable length indicators and all pin mode functions.
