While LMH0394 3 Gbps HD/SD DI Low Power Adaptive Cable Equalizer extends care and is designed to balance the data transferred over the cable (or any media with similar dispersion loss characteristics). The EQ operates at a wide range of data transfer rates from 125 Mbps to 2.97 Gbps and supports SMPTE 424M, SMPTE 292M, SMPTE 344M, SMPTE 259M and DVB-ASI standards.
LMH0394 provides improved anti-crosstalk and ultra-low power extension cord arrival. The EQ includes active sensing circuitry, which ensures reliable performance and enhanced immunity to change in the input signal emission amplitude. The output driver provides up to 40 FR4 trace loss "programmable de-emphasis". The LMH0394 includes power management, further reducing power consumption when no input signal is present.
LMH0394 supports two modes of operation. In pin mode, LMH0394 work on the control pin to set its operating state, and its footprint is compatible with LMH0384, LMH0344, and traditional SDI equalizers. In SPI mode, an optional SPI serial interface can be used to access and configure multiple LMH0394 daisy-chained devices. This allows for programmed output common-mode voltage and swing, output de-emphasis levels, input transmit amplitude and power management settings, as well as gain cable length indicators and all pin mode functions.
