illustrate
LMH6505 is a DC-coupled, wideband, voltage-controlled gain stage with a high-speed current feedback operational amplifier that directly drives low-impedance loads. The gain adjustment range is 80 dB to 10 MHz, which is done by different gain control input voltages, V G.
Set the maximum gain by the external components, the gain can be reduced in all ways, cut-off. The speed of the power consumption is 110 megawatts, the speed is 150 MHz, and the gain control bandwidth (BW) of 100 MHz is 100 MHz. The output DC offset voltage is less than 55 mV over the entire gain control voltage range. Device-to-device gain matching in the range of ± 0.5 dB of maximum gain. In addition, gain testing and guaranteed in a wide range. The output current feedback op amp allows for a high frequency large signal (= 1500 V/μs slew rate) and can also drive a heavy load current (60 mA) guarantee. The near-ideal input characteristics (i.e., low input bias current, low offset, low pin-3 resistance) allow the device to be easily configured as an inverting amplifier.
To provide ease of use when operating from a single supply, the V G series has a ground terminal potential (4 pins) from 0V to +2 V phase. V G input impedance is high to alleviate drive requirements. Powered from a single supply, the ground pin is connected to a "virtual" half supply.
The gain control of LMH6505 is dB linear, with a total gain control ranging from 0 dB to -85 dB, a significant portion of 25°C, as shown below. This makes the device suitable for AGC applications. For applications with linear gain control, see LMH6503 datasheet.
LMH6505 is an 8-pin SOIC or an 8-pin MSOP package. The combination of minimal external components and a small package allows LMH6505 to be used in space-constrained applications.
