illustrate
The LMH6517 contains two high-performance, digitally controlled variable gain amplifiers (DVGAs). It is designed for both narrowband and wideband IF sampling applications. Typically, mixed-signal LMH6517 drivers, such as radio and cellular mobile bases, automatic gain control (AGC) is used to improve the system's dynamic range for a wide range of radio digital communications applications.
Each channel has an independent LMH6517 digitally controlled attenuator and a high-linearity, differential output amplifier. Each piece is optimized for low distortion and maximum system design flexibility. Power saving can be disabled individually for each channel.
LMH6517 digitally controlled attenuators provide accurate 0.5 dB steps in the range of over 31.5 dB. The gain provided by the on-chip digital latch sets local storage. Serial and parallel programming options are available. A pulse mode also provides a simple place to change the gain one step at a time with an up or down command.
The differential output of the output amplifier allows large signal fluctuations on a single 5V supply. The low impedance output provides maximum flexibility when filtering or driving analog-to-digital converters.
Whereas LMH6517 operate in industrial temperatures ranging from -40°C to +85°C. LMH6517 is available in a 32-pin, thermally enhanced, LLP package.
