The LMP8640 and LMP8640HV are precision current-sense amplifiers that detect high input in resistance detection and a common mode voltage range from 2.7V to 12V with a small differential voltage.

Whereas LMP8640 accepts input signals with a common mode voltage range of -2V to 42V, while LMP8640HV accepts signals with an input common-mode voltage range of -2V to 76V. The LMP8640 and LMP8640HV have fixed application requirements that gain with temperature accuracy. The LMP8640 and LMP8640HV come out with three different fixed yields up to 0.25%, ensuring low gain accuracy of 20V/V, 50V/V, 100V/V. Output buffering to provide low output impedance. This high-side current sense amplifier is used to detect and monitor DC current or battery-powered system temperatures, ideal for excellent AC and DC specifications, and to keep errors in the current sense cycle to a minimum. Ideal for industrial, automotive, and consumer applications, LMP8640 and LMP8640HV are available in a TSOT-6 package.
