description The LMR12007 regulator is a monolithic, high-frequency, PWM step-down DC/DC converter in a low-profile 6-pin SOT package. It provides full activation capabilities to provide local DC/DC conversion with fast transient response and accurate regulation in the smallest possible printed circuit board area. With minimal external components and online design tools powered by WEBENCH, LMR12007 is easy to use. An internal 350mΩ NMOS switch using industry-leading 0.5μm bipolar CMOS (BiCMOS) technology drives a 750mA load for optimal usable power density. The world-class control circuitry enables on-time as low as 13ns, enabling excellent high-frequency conversion from a minimum output voltage of as low as 1.25V over the entire 3V to 18V input operating range. The switching frequency is set internally to 550kHz (LMR12007Y) or 1.6MHz (LMR12007X), allowing for the use of very small surface-mount inductors and chip capacitors. Despite the high frequency of operation, it is still easy to achieve up to 90% efficiency. Includes external shutdown with a characteristic ultra-low standby current of 30nA. LM12007 Utilizes current-mode control and internal compensation to provide high-performance regulation over a wide range of operating conditions.
