illustrate
LMS1485 is a bidirectional data communication line transceiver design on a low-power differential bus/high-speed multipoint bus transmission line. It is designed to balance transmission lines. It complies with the TIA/EIA RS-422-B, TIA/EIA RS-485-A and ITU recommendations and V.11 and X.27 of the ANSI standard.
LMS1485 combines a three-state ™ differential line driver and a differential input receiver, both of which operate from a single 5.0V supply. Drive and receive high-effective and active-low, externally connected directional control functions respectively. The differential input internal connections of the driver and receiver form a differential input/output (I/O) bus design that provides a minimum load bus whenever the driver is disabled or the V CC = 0V port. These ports feature a wide range of positive and negative common-mode voltages, making the device suitable for multi-point applications in noisy environments.
LMS1485 is the state-of-the-art BiCMOS process that is housed in an 8-pin SOIC package. It is a socket to replace the Analog Devices ADM1485 and LTC LT1485 in.
