illustrate
The LMS1485 is a bidirectional data communication line transceiver design on a low power differential bus/high speed multipoint bus transmission line. It is designed for balancing transmission lines. It complies with the ANSI standards TIA/EIA RS - 422-B, TIA/EIA RS - 485-A and ITU recommendations and V.11 and X.27.
The LMS1485 combines a three-state ™ differential line driver and a differential input receiver, which operate from a single 5.0V supply. The driver and receiver are highly active and aggressively low, respectively externally connected to the directional control function. The differential inputs of the driver and receiver are internally connected to form a differential input/output (I/O) bus designed to provide a port with minimal load on the bus whenever the driver is disabled or VC = 0V. These ports feature a wide range of positive and negative common-mode voltages, making the device suitable for multi-point applications in noisy environments.
The LMS1485 is a state-of-the-art BiCMOS process built and is available in an 8-pin SOIC package. It is a socket replacement for the ADI ADM1485 and LT1485 of the LT.
