Direct replacement for LT™1585A/87

illustrate

LMS1585A and LMS1587 low-dropout positive regulators with output load currents of 5A and 3A. Their low dropout (1.2V) and fast transient response make them an excellent solution for low-voltage microprocessor applications.

LMS1585A/87 adjustable version in which only two external resistors set the output voltage. They are also available in 1.5V and 3.3V fixed output voltage versions.

The LMS1585A/87 circuit includes a Zener trim bandgap reference, current limiting, and thermal shutdown.

LMS1585A/87 Series TO-220 and TO-263 Packages.
