The LMS202 features two transmitters, receiver and two RS-232 communications. It has a DC-DC converter that allows the device to operate with only a single +5 V power supply. The on-chip DC-DC converter generates the internal supply from four external 0.1μF capacitors and is dual RS-232 output level compatible.

The device complies with EIA/TIA-232E and CCITT V.28 specifications to 230kbits/sec. The LMS202 is available in a 16-pin narrow and wide SOIC package.
