The LMZ10505's SIMPLE SWITCHER ® power module is a complete, easy-to-use dc-to-dc solution capable of driving loads up to 5A with excellent power conversion efficiency, output voltage accuracy, line and load regulation. The LMZ10505 is an innovative solution that enhances thermal performance and allows manual or machine welding.
The LMZ10505 accepts input voltage rails between 2.95V and 5.5V and provides adjustable and highly accurate output voltages down to 0.8V. One MHz fixed frequency PWM switch provides a predictable EMI characteristic. Two external compensation components can be adjusted to set for the fastest response time while allowing the choice of using ceramic and/or electrolytic output capacitors. An externally programmable soft-start capacitor facilitates controlled start-up. The LMZ10505 is a safe, reliable, and powerful solution with lossless cycle-by-cycle peak current limit for protection against overcurrent or short-circuit faults, thermal shutdown, input undervoltage lockout, and prebias startup.
