The LMZ12002's SIMPLE SWITCHER ® power module is an easy-to-use step-down dc-to-dc solution capable of excellent power conversion efficiency, line and load regulation, and output accuracy driving 2A loads. LMZ12002 is an innovative solution that enhances thermal performance and allows manual or machine welding.
The LMZ12002 accepts input voltage rails between 4.5V and 20V and provides adjustable and highly accurate output voltages down to 0.8V. The LMZ12002 requires only three external resistors and four external capacitors to complete the power solution. The LMZ12002 is a safe, reliable and powerful design with the following protection features: thermal shutdown, input undervoltage lockout, output overvoltage protection, short-circuit protection, output current limiting, and allows entry into a prebiased output startup. A single resistor regulates the switching frequency up to 1 MHz.
