The LP2980 is a 50 mA, fixed output voltage regulator designed to meet the requirements of battery-powered applications.

Using the optimized VIP (Vertically Integrated PNP) process, the LP2980 offers a wide range of specifications in a key battery-powered design with unmatched performance:

Differential pressure. Typically 120 mV @ 50 mA load and 7 mV @ 1 mA load.

Ground pin current. Typically 375 μ A@ 50 mA load, 80 μ A@ 1 mA load.

Sleep mode. The ON/OFF pin is pulled down at less than 1μA quiescent current.

Minimum number of components. Only one pair of external regulator output capacitors μF is required.

Precision output. 0.5% tolerance output voltage available (Class A).

5.0V, 4.7V, 3.3V, 3.0V and 2.5V versions are available as standard products.
