The LP2985 is a 150 mA, fixed output voltage regulator design that provides ultra-low dropout and low noise for battery-powered applications.
In the process of using the optimized VIP (Vertically Integrated PNP), the LP2985 delivers unmatched performance in all specifications of a critical battery-powered design:
Differential pressure: Typically 300 mV @ 150 mA load, and 7 mV @ 1 mA load.
Ground Pin Current: Typically 850 μ A@ 150 mA load and 75 μ A@ 1 mA load.
Enhanced Stability: The LP2985 has an ESR of as low as 5 milliohms with the output capacitor, which makes the ceramic capacitor stable for output use.
Sleep mode: The ON/OFF pin is pulled down at less than 1μA quiescent current.
Smallest possible size: SOT-23 and miniature SMD packages use the absolute minimum board space.
Precision Output: A 1% error output voltage is available (Class A).
Low noise: By adding a bypass capacitor of 10 nF, the output noise can be reduced to 30 μV (typical).
