The LP2987/8 has a fixed output of 200 mA, with precise LDO regulator and power-on reset delay, which can be achieved using an external capacitor.
The LP2988 is a critical application specifically designed for noise. A single external capacitor connected to the bypass pin reduces the regulator's output noise.
Using optimized VIP ™ (vertically integrated PNP), these regulators deliver outstanding performance:
Differential voltage: 180 mV @ 200 mA load, and 1 mV @ 1 mA load (typical value).
Ground pin current: 1 milliamp, 200 mA load, 200 μ A@ 10 mA load (typical value).
Sleep mode: LP2987/8 maintains low pin when quiescent current is less than 2μA.
Error flag/reset: The error flag drops low, and when the output falls below the nominal value, it drops by about 5%. If a delay pin is connected to a capacitor, this pin also provides a power-on reset signal.
Precision output: The standard LP2987 and LP2988 product versions have output voltages of 5.0V, 3.8V, 3.3V, 3.2V, 3.0V, or 2.8V, ensuring accuracy of 0.5% ("A" class) and 1% (standard class) at room temperature.
