The LP2992 is a 250mAh fixed output voltage regulator designed to provide ultra-low voltage drop and low noise for battery-powered applications.
Using optimized VIP (Vertical Integrated PNP), the LP2992 delivers unparalleled performance in all specifications of critical battery-powered design:
Differential pressure: Typically, it is 450 millivolts @ 250 mA load, and 5 millivolts @ 1 mA load.
Ground Pin Current: Typically, a load of 1500μ A@ 250 mA, and a load of 75μ A@ 1 mA.
Enhanced Stability: The LP2992 stabilizes with an ESR of output capacitors as low as 5 milliohms, making ceramic capacitors suitable for output use.
Sleep mode: The ON/OFF pin is pulled down at less than 1μA quiescent current.
Smallest possible size: SOT-23 and LLP packages use absolutely minimal circuit board space.
Precision Output: A 1% error output voltage is available (Class A).
Low noise: By adding a bypass capacitor of 10 nF, the output noise can be reduced to 30 μV (typical).
Multiple voltage options, from 1.5V to 5.0V, are available as standard products. Consult a custom voltage factory.
