The LP2992 is a 250 mA, fixed output voltage regulator that provides ultra-low dropout and low-noise design for battery-powered applications.
Using an optimized VIP (Vertically Integrated PNP) process, the LP2992 delivers unmatched performance key to battery-powered designs across a wide range of specifications:
Differential pressure: Typically 450 mV @ 250 mA load and 5 mV @ 1 mA load.
Ground Pin Current: Typically 1500 μ A@ 250 mA load, and 75 μ A@ 1 mA load.
Enhanced Stability: The LP2992 is stable, with an ESR of 5 mΩ for the output capacitor, allowing the use of ceramic capacitors to pair the output.
Sleep Mode: The ON/OFF pin with quiescent current below 1μA is pulled down.
Smallest possible size: SOT-23 and LLP packages use the absolute minimum of board space.
Precision Output: 1% accurate output voltage (Class A).
Low noise: Output noise can be reduced by 30μV (typical) by adding a bypass capacitor of 10 nF.
