illustrate
National Semiconductor's FlexCap LDO's features unique compensation that allows any type of output capacitance with a minimum or maximum ESR for unlimited use. The low-dropout linear regulators LP38500/2 series operate from a +2.7 V to +5.5 V input supply. These ultra-low dropout linear regulators respond very quickly to loads, which makes them suitable for low-voltage microprocessor applications. In CMOS process development (utilizing a PMOS transistor), the low quiescent current of LP38500/2 varies little from the load current.
Ground Pin Current: Typically 2 mA load current of 1.5A.
Disable mode: Typically at a quiescent current of 25 nA, the enable pin is pulled down.
Simplified Compensation: With any type of output capacitance, ESR is either stable.
Precision Output: "A" with 1.5% V ADJ tolerance (25°C) and above lines, load and temperature class versions are available at 3%.
