The LP38511-1.8 fast transient response low dropout regulator provides the highest precision requirements in conferences, AC and DC-powered digital cores. The LP38511-1.8 uses a unique control loop that enables extremely fast response to changing line conditions and load requirements. DC output voltage accuracy is guaranteed at ± 2.5%, with a specific line, load and temperature range from -40°C to +125°C. While the LP38511-1.8 is designed for rail from 2.5V input, 3.3V and 5.0V rail, it is a 10uF ceramic capacitor stabilized with a fixed 1.8V output. The error flagging function monitors the output voltage and notifies the system processor that the output voltage exceeds 15%, which is below the nominal drop. The LP38511-1.8 provides excellent transient performance to meet the needs of high-performance digital core ASICs, DSPs, and FPGAs in highly dense applications such as servers, routers/switches, and base stations.
