The LP3853/LP3856 fast ultra-low dropout linear regulator series operates from +2.5 V to +7.0 V input supplies. A wide range of preset output voltage options are available. These ultra-low dropout linear regulators react very quickly to one-step loads, which makes them suitable for low voltage microprocessor applications. The LP3853/LP3856 have been developed using a CMOS process that allows low quiescent current operation with independent output load currents. This CMOS process also allows the LP3853/LP3856 to operate at very low differential pressure.
Differential pressure: Ultra-low dropout voltage typically at 300mA load current at 3A and 390mV at 39mV.
Ground pin current: Typically 4 mA at 3A load current.
Shutdown mode: Quiescent current is typically 10nA when the shutdown pin is pulled low.
^Error flag: ^Error flag becomes low when the output voltage drops below 10% of the nominal value.
Read out: Needle feel improves at remote load regulation.
Precision output voltage: Multiple output voltage options are available ranging from 1.8V to 5.0V, one guaranteed to be ± 1.5% ± 3.0% accuracy at room temperature (different lines, loads, and temperatures).
