The LP3961/LP3964 fast ultra-low dropout linear regulator series operates from +2.5 V to +7.0 V input supplies. A wide range of preset output voltage options are available. These ultra-low dropout linear regulators respond very quickly to one-step load changes, which makes them suitable for use in low voltage microprocessor applications. The LP3961/LP3964 have been developed using a CMOS process that allows low quiescent current operation with independent output load currents. This CMOS process also allows the LP3961/LP3964 to operate at very low dropout pressures.
Differential pressure:Ultra-low pressure difference; 800mA load current is typically 80mA load current and 240mV 24mV.
Ground pin currentLoad current at 800 mA:Usually 4 mA.
Shutdown mode:Quiescent current is typically 15μA when the shutdown pin is pulled low.
Error #flag:The error # flag goes low when the output voltage drops below 10% of the nominal value (LP3961).
