The LP2985 is a 150 mA, fixed output voltage regulator designed to provide low noise in ultra-low dropout and battery-powered applications.
Using optimized VIP (Vertically Integrated PNP), the LP2985 delivers unmatched performance for battery-powered designs critical to all specifications:
Differential pressure: Typically 300 mV @ 150 mA load, and 7 millivolts @ 1 mA load.
Ground pin current: Typically 850μ A@150 mA load and 75μ A@ 1 mA load.
Enhanced stability: The ESR of the LP2985 and the output capacitor is as low as 5 milliohms, which makes the ceramic capacitor stable for the output.
Sleep Mode: At quiescent current of less than 1μA, the ON/OFF pin is pulled low.
Smallest possible size: The SOT-23 and miniature SMD packages use the absolute minimum board space.
Precision output: A 1% error output voltage is available (Class A).
Low noise: By adding a 10 nF bypass capacitor, the output noise can be reduced to 30 μV (typical).
