illustrate
The LP3986 is a 150 mA dual low dropout regulator designed for portable and wireless applications with demanding performance and board space requirements.
The LP3986 is a small 1μF ± 30% ceramic output capacitor that requires minimal board space and stability.
The LP3986 is optimized for performance, with a battery-powered system that provides ultra-low noise, very low dropout voltage, and low quiescent current independent of load current. The regulator's ground current increases dropouts very slightly, further extending battery life. An optional external bypass capacitor further reduces output noise without slowing down load transient response. Fast start-up time is an aggressive pre-charge by utilizing acceleration circuitry, bypass capacitors. Power supply rejection is at low frequencies above 60 dB and 55 dB at 10 kHz. The low input voltage of common battery-powered circuits is maintained at a high supply voltage suppression.
The LP3986 is a micro SMD package. Performance is specified over the -40°C to +125°C temperature range. For a single LDO application, refer to the LP3985 datasheet.
