illustrate
The LP3999 regulator is designed to meet the requirements of portable battery-powered wireless applications and will provide an accurate output voltage, low noise and low quiescent current. Devices that are ideal for RF/analog equipment will also be used to power devices that meet more general circuit requirements.
For battery-powered applications, the device provides low dropout and low ground current to maximize battery life. The inclusion of an enable (disable) control that can be utilized by the system to further extend battery life by reducing power consumption is almost zero. If the application requires a device with an active disabled feature, see Device LP3995.
The LP3999 also has internal protection against short-circuit currents and overtemperature conditions.
The LP3999 is a compact 1.0μF ceramic capacitor stable. The small form factor of the LP3999 micro-required ceramic capacitor SMD package enables applications in a system with minimal board area.
Performance is specified over the -40°C to +125°C temperature range.
The device is available in a micro SMD package. For other packaging options, contact your local NSC sales office.
