The LP3999 regulator is designed to meet the requirements of portable battery-powered wireless applications and will provide an accurate output voltage, low noise and low quiescent current. Ideal for RF/analog devices will also be used to power devices that meet more general circuit requirements.
For battery-powered applications, the device provides low voltage drop and low ground current, maximizing battery life. The inclusion of an enabled (disabled) control can be used to further extend the life of the battery by reducing power consumption to almost zero. If the application requires a device with an active disabled feature, see Device LP3995.
The LP3999 also features internal protection against short-circuit current and over-temperature conditions.
The LP3999 is designed to be a small 1.0μF ceramic capacitor stabilized. The LP3999 micro requires a small form factor in a ceramic capacitor SMD package that can be used in a system with minimal board area.
It is specified for performance over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
The device is packaged in a micro SMD package. For other packaging options, contact your local NSTC sales office.
