The LP5552 energy management unit is a PWI ™ The 2.0 Energy Management Unit (EMU) is designed to reduce power consumption in low-power, portable applications.

The LP5552 energy management unit contains variable voltage power supply to 2 advanced SoC or processors, digitally controlled switching regulators. The device also integrates 5 programmable low-dropout, low-noise linear regulators for driving I/O, peripheral logic blocks, auxiliary system functions, and keeping memory in shutdown mode (dual-domain).

The device controls the high-speed serial PWI 2.0 open standard interface. Operates and cooperates with PowerWise for the LP5552 energy management unit ® Technology-compatible processors to optimize supply voltage adaptability (AVS - Adaptive Voltage Regulation) to process and temperature variations. It also supports dynamic voltage amplification (DVS) with pre-feature lookup meter frequency/voltage pairs.
