LT^® The 1009 is a precision-trimmed 2.5V shunt regulator diode with a maximum initial tolerance of only ±5mV. Low dynamic impedance and wide operating current range increase versatility. A 0.2% reference tolerance is achieved with on-chip trimming, which minimizes not only the initial voltage tolerance, but also the temperature drift.

Although no regulation is required with the LT1009, the third terminal provides a ±5% reference regulation range to calibrate for systematic errors. In many applications, the LT1009 can be used as a pin-compatible replacement for the LM136 and eliminates the need for external trimming networks.
