™The LT 1020 is a positive regulation that combines micropower with a free collector on a monolithic chip. With only 40μA of supply current, the LT1020 can deliver over 125 mA of output current. The input voltage range is 0.6V 125mA from 4.5V to 36V. The voltage difference decreases, reducing the load current. Also included on the chip is a 2.5V reference with a Class B output that can source or sink current. A dropout detector provides an output current to represent when the regulator is down regulation.

Dual output comparators can be used for system or battery monitoring comparisons. For example, comparators can be used to warn of low system voltage and a dropout detector to shut down the system, preventing abnormal operation. Frequency compensation amplifier applications can be compared by adding external output capacitors. Dual output or positive and negative regulators are also available.
