®The LT 1054 is a monolithic, bipolar, switching capacitor voltage converter and voltage regulator. The LT1054 provides higher output current than previously marketed converters and has much lower voltage losses. An adaptive switching driver scheme optimizes efficiency over a wide output current range. The total voltage loss at 100mA output current is typically 1.1V. This is guaranteed over the entire supply voltage range (3.5V to 15V). Typical quiescent current is 2.5mA. The LT1054 also provides voltage regulation that is not available in previous switching capacitor voltage converters. By adding an external resistive voltage divider, a stable output can be obtained. This output will be adjusted accordingly based on changes in input voltage and output current. Alternatively, the LT1054 can be turned off by grounding the feedback pin. The supply current in shutdown mode is less than 100μA. The LT1054's internal oscillator operates at a nominal frequency of 25kHz. The oscillator pins can be used to adjust the switching frequency or to externally synchronize the LT1054. The LT1054's pins are compatible with previously introduced converters such as LTC1044 / ICL7660.
