™The LT 1111 is a versatile micropower DC/DC converter. The device requires only three external components to provide a fixed 5V or 12V output. The boost mode and 30V supply voltage range from 2V to 12V buck mode. The LT1111 functions in the same way for step-down or inverting applications.
The LT1111 oscillator setup optimizes the device and the off-the-shelf, off-the-shelf surface mount inductor operates at 72kHz. The device can provide 5V in boost mode or 5V, 3V input from 12V input in buck mode at 200mA at 100mA.
The switch current limit can be programmed with a single resistor. Low battery voltage detector, linear post-regulator, undervoltage lockout circuitry, and error amplifier can be configured as an auxiliary open-collector gain block.
The LT1110 is used for input sources smaller than 2V.
