®The LT 1120 integrates a micropower positive voltage regulator and an independent collector comparator on a single chip. The LT1120 is capable of delivering over 125mA of output current from a supply current of only 40μA. The input voltage range is 4.5V to 36V, and the dropout voltage is 0.6V at 125mA. The dropout voltage decreases as the load current decreases. A Class B output 2.5V reference is also integrated into the chip that is capable of supplying or absorbing current. A stop pin enables logic shutdown of the output. Comparators can be used for system or battery monitoring. For example, a comparator can be employed to warn of a "low system voltage" condition. Comparator frequency compensation for amplifier applications can be achieved by adding external output capacitors. A 2.5V reference will supply or absorb current. This allows it to be used as a power splitter or auxiliary output.
