The LT1173 is a versatile micro-power DC-to-DC converter. The device requires only three external components to provide a fixed 5V or 12V output. The supply voltage range from 2.0V to 12V in boost mode and 30V in step-down mode. The LT1173 is also excellent for boost, buck, or inverted phase applications. The LT1173 consumes only 110μA of supply current, and in standby mode, low quiescent% current is ideal for applications where it is critical. The device can provide 5V, 12V input buck mode at 200mA at 80 mA from boost mode or 5V, 3V input. Switching current limit can be programmed with a single resistor. An auxiliary gain module can be configured as a low battery voltage detector, linear rear regulator, undervoltage lockout circuit, error amplifier. For input sources up to 2V, use the LT1073.
