The LT1301 is a micropower step-up DC/DC converter using Burst Mode^{Trade in the old}Operate. The device can supply 5V or 12V from the battery input of two batteries. It features programmable logic control of the input 5V or 12V output, no-load quiescent current of 120μA, and a shutdown pin, reducing the supply current to 10μA. The on-chip power switch has a switch current of 1A, four times that of previous designs, reducing saturation voltages by 170mV lower. The 155kHz internal oscillator allows the use of very small surface mount inductors and capacitors. Operation is guaranteed at 1.8V input. This will allow more effort to be extracted from the battery and increase the working life. I_LIMThe pins can be used for soft-start or to plan peak switching currents with a single resistor that allows the use of smaller inductors in lighter load applications.
